We recently caught up with bestselling author Rebecca Serle as she prepares for her biggest chapter yet—motherhood. With the help of designer Lindsay Marcus, she set out to create a nursery that felt feminine yet subtle, blending soft baby blue wallpaper with neutral furniture pieces like the Lolly Dresser and Nightstand to keep the space serene and sophisticated.

For Rebecca, the nursery’s most meaningful touches come from the past. Her mother, a lifelong collector, saved keepsakes from Rebecca’s own childhood—antique vases, beloved stuffed animals, and a painting of ballet slippers that she received on her first birthday. That same painting has followed her through every stage of life, and now it hangs in her daughter’s room, a symbol of love passed down through generations.

As a writer, Rebecca also wanted to create a space where she could share her deep love of books with her daughter. She’s already found a favorite spot—the Kiwi Plus Recliner—where she imagines endless story times and snuggles. “I love that it’s such a cozy place for us to cuddle up and read books,” she shared.

Looking ahead, Rebecca is excited to embrace motherhood—not just in her personal life, but in her creative work as well. She’s eager to explore stories of family and parenthood, adding new layers to her writing.

For now, her nursery is exactly what she hoped it would be—a space filled with love, memories, and room to grow.
