I see my two daughters, who are now six and seven, growing into preteens and then teenagers and then eventually grown women, which is very emotional. It makes me want to cry.​

Now, at seven years old, moving into this beautiful full-size bed feels like such a meaningful rite of passage.

in these rooms...

One playdate, I walked into the room and found four little girls gathered in the upper bunk with a blanket draped over it like a tent. They had turned it into their own little summer camp, which was the coolest thing to see.

More than anything, it filled me with excitement. This bunk bed gave them a space to create their own little universe, and I’m so happy we could give that to them.

My favorite part of every day is...

7, sometimes 8 p.m. Tucking my kids into bed and sharing those quiet moments together. Of course, they always try to prolong bedtime, but that's when they open up and tell me about their day. I scratch their backs, we talk, and everything is very quiet.

On taking the leap...

It took my husband and I years of struggle and heartbreak to have our two children. For a long time, I was almost too scared to buy bedroom furniture. She started in a crib, then graduated to a big-kid bed at three. Now, at seven years old, moving into this beautiful full-size bed feels like such a meaningful rite of passage.

We’ll climb into bed with them, cuddle up, and soak in those moments. When their grandma stays over, she plays “The Prayer” by Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli, and it instantly makes everyone feel calm and cozy. Those are the moments you want to hold onto. This is what life is all about.
