Instead of sticking to one style, Denisse Myrick drew on different design sensibilities when creating a nursery for her newborn daughter Olivia, resulting in “Dreamy-Modern-Boho-Reading-Rainbow-Chic.” Olivia’s neutral nursery is the beautiful byproduct of Denisse’s careful optimization for functionality and a whimsical yet intentional approach to design.

Denisse was first drawn to Babyletto for our commitment to sustainability in every sense. She wanted affordable, consciously crafted statement pieces that could remain household staples for years to come. “In a nursery, the more practical and versatile things are, the better,” she says.
She chose the Sprout 4-in-1 Convertible Crib in Chestnut and Natural (to be used as a full-sized bed in Olivia’s pre-teen years) and matching 3-Drawer Dresser for their warm, mid-century modern feel. She balanced their deep wood tones against a mint-green accent wall with light, texturally diverse, and babyproofed wall hangings for when Olivia “starts getting into more advanced sensory development.”

Valuing longevity, Denisse considered the potential of every piece in Olivia’s nursery and saw each one as a customizable canvas. Of our Sprout 3-Drawer Dresser, she says, “Eventually, when she gets older and she becomes more expressive with her style, we can change the knobs on the dresser. Dino’s flower’s, gems, etc.”
Our cream Cali Glider was a natural fit for the snug 10’x10’ space, as a handy stain-resistant and water-repellant neutral piece that could be used for “feedings, bed-time stories, staring in disbelief that we made a human and just hanging out.”
